Winter Weekend Fun
Here are a couple of fun winter weekend events which will be taking place this coming weekend.
Sledding Under The Lights
Bring your sleds and come out to the Kentville Memorial Park from 5:30pm - 9:00pm on Friday January 22nd. The AVR Misfits will be there with you to enjoy some family fun with sledding and hot chocolate.
Annapolis Valley Eagle Watch
Sheffield Mills will be hosting the 19th annual Eagle Watch beginning January 23rd & 24th and also on January 30 & 31. Eagles are in the area from November until March, but the best time to view them is in January & February. The eagles are mainly fed between 9am - 10am daily at the corner of Middle Dyke Rd and Bains Rd. While you are in the area be sure to check out the eagle displays and enjoy a pancake & sausage breakfast as well as some great music!
Big Plans For 2010
We are now a week into 2010 and for me it is a very exiting year. For the last four years I've been taking Computer Science at Acadia University which has meant that this website has been a "spare time" project for me. That was the original plan was that this site and the web design service would always be part time. However my wife and I have decided that come graduation in May 2010 Our Valley will become a full time venture. This is exciting and scary at the same time but it will work.
What can you expect to see? Over the next few months expect to see some major changes coming to this website. There will be a redesign of the website, it will still be a simple, clean site which will be easy to make your way around, but there will be much more information being added to it regularily.
Of course I will always be offering other services such as web design / programming and various other services.

2009 Annapolis Valley New Years Eve
Are you looking for an event to ring in the New Year?
- New Years Eve dance at Meadowview Community Hall from 9pm – 1am. Cost is $10.00 per person. Music is by Darlene Jamieson DJ and Karoke Services.
- Kentville Fire Hall doors open at 8pm. Tickets are $35 per couple or $18 per person. For further information call 678-7817.
- Join Kingsley the Steer at the Western Kings Arena beginning at 6pm – 9pm. There will be face painting, sleigh rides, balloon animals and live entertainment. Following at 9:30pm from the Superstore parking lot there will be a fireworks display.
- DJ Dance at the Windermere Hall from 9pm – 1am. The admission is an item of food for the lunch table.
- Wolfville Royal Canadian Legion from 9pm – 1:30am. Music provided by Mark Clarke and Vintage Country. Cost is $20 per couple which includes a midnight buffet. For more information call Marg 542-2479 or Nina 690-7677.
- Kentville Royal Canadian Legion will be having a dance from 9:30pm – 1am with music by Bev & the Boys. Cost is $15 per person or $25 per couple. The tickets are available at the bar.
- The Wandlyn Inn in Coldbrook is hosting The Spinney Brothers. The evening will include Bluegrass Music and a 4 course meal. The time is 6pm – 1am and tickets are available in advance only for $49 each.
