Annapolis Valley Employment Services

Throughout the Annapolis Valley there are organizations setup to help people further their skills and to find employment. Below is an overview of some of these groups.

Community INC

Community Inc is a non-profit organization working to ensure people with disabilities are included in society. Since 2001 the group was known as the Valley Disability Partnership Society and in 2008 they formed the Community Inclusion Society.

PeopleWorx Society

The PeopleWorx Society is a non-profit organizatoin established in 1986. They offer a number of programs such as employment counseling, skills development, job search skills, and the Annapolis Valley Work Centre.

Career Resource Centre

The Career Resource Centre provides many services to help their clients gain employment. Some of these services are resume writing, employer visits, computer access, and various workshops.

Canadian Mental Health Association Kings County Branch

The Kings County Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association assists individuals living with mental illness with a variety of supports. Our Kings CMHA Employment Outreach office assists our client base with career decision making, skill enhancement, job search, and employment maintenance.
