Annapolis Valley Exhibition

The Annapolis Valley Exhibition has been held annually in Lawrencetown since 1927. Over the years it has held a number of different names and has grown into a huge agricultural week long event.

The Valley Ex takes place the third week of August each year and goes from Monday until Saturday. The focus of the exhibition is the agricultural industry. One of the main goals is to expose youth to farming so that they may take an interest and see that it offers viable careers for them in the future.

The 2010 Annapolis Valley Exhibition will be held from August 16th to 21st. There are many events held throughout the week from concerts to a rodeo. This year the concerts will be Grass Mountain Hobo's on Thursday, April Wine on Friday, and Julian Austin on Saturday.

Some of the other events being held are a Baby Contest, Miss Valley Ex, Little Miss Ex, Little Mr Cowboy, Ex Idol and more.

the april wine concert was very disappointing.i think id be safe to say if they ever return they wouldnt get the crowd they got this year.sound quality was bad and they sang very few songs and even fewer of the songs that got them to where they have been over the last 40 years.probably 75 percent of the crowd were people who remembered april wine and the 70's songs of their era --sadly it was not the april wine they all remembered.

Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience gump. I wasn't personally able to make it to the concert, but I've spoke with a few people who were. No one else seemed disappointed with the April Wine.
