The Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia
Aylesford Lake is a park maintained by the Kings County Parks and Recreation Department. They keep the beach extremely clean and family friendly.
Besides swimming in the lake there is also a little field which is often used to play catch or soccer. There is also playground equipment the kids can play on to dry off or when they need a break from the water. If you get hungry for a snack there is also a canteen service which is available some of the open hours.
They are typically open from mid June to the beginning of September with lifeguards coming on near the first of July.
If you want to enjoy a boat out on the water there is a public boat launch available as well.
