Bridgetown Nova Scotia

Bridgetown was incorporated as a town in 1897 and named by its founder John Crosskill after the areas most defining feature. The bridge that crossed the Annapolis River was the only crossing point above Annapolis Royal. Having this bridge allowed the town to become a central player in the importing and exporting of goods to the region and soon the manufacturing sector started to grow as well.

Today a town of nearly 1000 people there is little manufacturing in the area. Bridgetown is still a beautiful town full of wonderful heritage buildings and history. The town boasts itself for having a perfect example of a small town business district, with easy access to many shops and of course the friendly Annapolis Valley charm.
