The Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia
My name is Sandy McFadden, and I currently live in Kentville, Nova Scotia. As well as being a web designer/developer I am also a Husband, Father of four, and just completed a degree in Computer Science at Acadia Univeristy.
In early 2000, as a hobby, I started learning to create web sites. As can be expected things have come a long way since then, and now my hobby has developed into a small home based business.
Since I started offer web design services I've gone through a couple of names. I started out with Easy Web Presence. This name just didn't seem to fit, it made me seem bigger than I was and didn't really say anything about me. After that I changed to Sandy McFadden Designs which I've been using since 2006. This was a much better fit.
With the growth of OurValley.ca, and seeing that I have no plans of leaving the Annapolis Valley any time soon, it seemed a logical decision to merge the two services into one. The majority of the businesses I have worked with are here in the Valley, and this is my main area of focus, even though I have worked with people as far away as North Carolina.
During the years, I have spent a lot of time reading and teaching myself many of the different technologies involved with web design. As well as self learning, I have gained invaluable knowledge and experience by working for some of Canadas largest telecommunications companies, as well as one of the Worlds first and most respected Domain Name Registrars/Hosting Companies.
